Since 2006, Verandas Demasure has got his own paint shop. This allows the company to quickly anticipate on the changing colour needs of its customers.

Third party products are also painted next to our own. We only apply powder coatings to aluminium products. The maximum dimensions of these pieces are 8m x 2,10m x 0,5m.

All colours of the RAL colour system are possible. The RAL system is a standard which accurately describes the used colours.

There is also the possibility to choose from different finishes.

The coating process

We can distinguish following steps in the process:

1. Preprocessing

The products must be cleaned to remove any kind of pollution. Next, a protective coating is applied. The following steps happen in our automatic pre-processing installation:

• Degreasing
• Rinsing
• Rinsing with demineralised water
• Post treatment (protective coating) 

2. Powder coating

By means of a fully automatic powder installation a polyester powder coating is electrostatically applied to the aluminium products. The thickness of this layer lies between 80 µm and 100 µm. A manual circuit is also available to process difficult pieces. The polyester coating is UV-resistant and as a result, is extremely good for outside use. It is also possible to apply two layers of coating.

3. Enamel

In this last step, the powder coated profiles are put into the oven at a temperature of 180°C. Because of this, the powder particles melt and merge together to create a tight film. Their time in the oven is dependant of the kind of product.
